These studs are constructed out of grade ARP2000 alloy that is rated far superior to “aircraft” quality. Then each stud is placed vertically In special racks and precisely heat-treated to 220,000 PSI. These studs are then rolled after the heat treatment, and this gives them about 1000% better fatigue resistance than your standard head studs.
ARP's Custom Age 625 Plus material is newly formulated super-alloy demonstrates superior fatigue cycle life, tensile strength (260,000 psi) and toughness - with complete resistance to atmospheric corrosion and oxidation. Excellent choice for high hp/ high cylinder pressures while retaining a factory sized fastener.
